Moji prijatelji znaju da nisam ljubitelj QR (Quick Response) kodova. Dok vidim QR kôd, odredim želim li ga skenirati, otvorim mobitel, otvorim aplikaciju za skeniranje koda ... i zapravo ga skeniram - mogao sam upisati web adresu. Također mislim da su ružno ... da, rekao sam!

Čini se da je usvajanje QR koda is popriličan izazov. 58% ispitanih nije bilo upoznato s QR kodovima. 25% ispitanih nije ni znalo što su! U obrani QR kodova nisu sve loše vijesti. Ljudi će koristiti QR kodove kada očekuju popust, a druge ih industrije koriste za učinkovito dohvaćanje podataka.

Nekoliko primjera koje sam vidio i za koje sam smatrao da se dobro koriste QR kodovi:

  • U restoranu u Atlanti, jelovnik je koristio QR kodove kako bi čitatelj potražio dodatne prehrambene podatke o jelovniku na mreži.
  • Na konferenciji Webtrends, kamere su postavljene na svakoj konferenciji kako bi prikupile informacije o znački posjetitelja. To je timu omogućilo da utvrdi koje su sesije bile najpopularnije.
  • Slanje kupona e-poštom primateljima. Međutim, crtični kodovi rade jednako dobro kao i QR kodovi. A skeneri crtičnog koda više su zastupljeni u maloprodajnim objektima.

Također mislim da smo na rubu da koristimo tehnologije skeniranja i prepoznavanja daleko naprednije od QR kodova.

    In-store Facebook Like: “Enjoy shopping here? ‘Like’ us on Facebook. Scan this QR code with your mobile phone. Be the first to get great offers and discounts through our Facebook page.”

    In store Sign Up for E-mail Newsletters or SMS text alerts. Same idea as above. Be sure to offer a reward for signing up. Be sure the QR code newsletter landing page is mobile friendly.

    In store demographic or survey information: “Tell us a little about yourself and get free coupons”. Have a short mobile friendly survey page with the final page being a in store coupon they can use right now.

    Printed ads, brochures, business cards: “Get more information on this. Scan this QR code on your mobile phone.” QR codes are new, but lots of printed media have a lead time of months. Talk with your client about what their print plans are for now and six months from now.

    Thinking beyond the retail world. I recently talked with the marketing and exhibition folks at a large museum. I suggested that they could put a QR code in certain exhibit areas. The code could link to their own Web page on the item exhibited, or link to a relevant outside Web source.
